About Us

TattooBin is an online community created for those that are “hooked on ink.” Artists, studios, and tattoo enthusiasts are all welcome to join this community, where you can connect with others that have your similar interests. On TattooBin, you can share and view tattoos and artwork, write and comment on stories, and even find and contact artists and studios in your desired area. TattooBin is continually trying to meet the needs of our community by providing you with a safe environment to search for, view, post, rate, and comment on tattoos. Our goal is to provide an open, fun, and tasteful environment for artists and tattoo enthusiasts to celebrate tattoos as an art form.

History
TattooBin started in a way a few years ago, initially as tattoovault. We started the site because of our love of tattoos, and because in our research on what to get ourselves, we didn't find any resources that were expansive and comprehensive enough to really provide a lot of value. Some of the sites we found charged users to view tattoos, which just isn't cool!

So after a few years of different projects and working on tattoovault, we decided to re-invent ourselves and really go for it. Our new site is tattoobin.com and the whole thing is completely automated to make it truly interactive and quick. Every decision we make on the site is based on user interaction and satisfaction. In fact, the only reason we've allowed artists and studios to be on the site is because we think this will benefit the user.

We're even taking this a bit further by adding the ability to let users bookmark and save tattoos. Once bookmarked (what we call our "MyBin"), you can view the tattoos later at any time and even share your Bin with others by emailing it.

Monitoring
One thing we created is the ability to let the users monitor and police the site themselves. This follows our focus on building a site completely for the users. If you become a member of our community, you are able to click the little Infected Icon next to any tattoo or story to report it to our staff. We will then take the appropriate action to maintain the integrity of our site. It's a great way to keep people involved in keeping the site clean and focused, the way you want it to be!
